Introducing you to the Three Counties Dance Academy team.

School Principal
Aimee Harborne-Jones
RAD RTS. ARAD. AIDTA.
School Principal Aimee has been running the school since 2003. At 16 she was awarded a scholarship to train at London Studio Centre (Classical Graduate, Diploma) She was also offered a place at Elmhurst ballet school (aged 11). Exam achievements include Advanced 2 RAD and BBO Ballet. Advanced 2 ISTD Modern and Tap (with Honours). Intermediate ISTD and Chechetti Ballet (with Honours) Aimee was an RAD and BBO scholar and was the youngest competitor at The Phyllis Bedells Bursary competition.
Aimee has a wealth of experience both teaching and professionally.

Ballet Teacher
Ruth Wood
BA (Hons), RAD RTS, CDE, AIDTA
Ruth began dancing aged 4 and studied dance vocationally at The Hammond, Chester. After performing in Cabaret productions in the UK and Spain, she completed ISTD teaching qualifications and a degree in Professional Arts Practice at Middlesex University. Ruth has been teaching for 18 years and has Registered Teacher Status with the RAD is an IDTA Associate.

Tap/Jazz/Musical Theatre Teacher
Charlie Cosnett
BA (Hons)
Charlie has been dancing and singing since she was 4 years old. Training in ISTD she reached intermediate and advanced in Ballet, Tap and Modern. Along side achieving her performing arts diploma in Guernsey she also gained her BTEC diploma level 2 and 3 in contemporary dance. After this she then came to the UK to train at Chichester conservatoire where she trained in Musical Theatre (Triple Threat) and obtained a 1st class honour degree. After her training she then went on to work for Haven and CBeebies.

Ballet Teacher
Edward Bury
Edward trained at Hammond.
Exam achievements include Advanced 2 RAD Ballet and ISTD Modern. Edward danced with The London City Ballet, in Cats the musical and a Chorus Line. He has coached students for the prestigious Genee competition and Royal Ballet and Elmhurst Associates.
He is a highly experienced teacher and we are lucky to have him on our team.

Ballet/Tap/Jazz Teacher
Emily George
Emily started dancing at the age of 4. She trained in Herefordshire studying RAD ballet and ISTD modern and Tap. She has performed at many shows at The Courtyard. She then completed her vocational training at Margaret Howard College and 344 dance Station. Emily has a Degree in Sports and Fitness coaching and is a fully qualified group exercise to music instructor.
Emily has been teaching and running her own dance school since 2015.
We are so lucky to have Emily run our Saturday classes in Hereford.

Ballet Teacher
Beth Wood
MSc. BA (Hons). RAD RTS. ISTD DDE.
Beth grew up in Herefordshire and began dancing at the age of 4, studying Imperial Ballet, Modern and Tap. Developing a strong passion for dance, she decided to pursue a career in ballet teaching. Beth attended Janet Marshall’s Dance Centre and completed her DDE in Imperial Ballet in 2016, before successfully gaining a place at the Royal Academy of Dance, London. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Ballet Education and RAD Registered Teacher Status in 2019.
Since graduating Beth has gained much experience teaching a range of ages and abilities in RAD and ISTD dance schools across London, as well as working as part of English National Ballet School’s junior team. During this time she developed a great interest in the science behind the training of ballet and subsequently completed an MSc in Strength and Conditioning, at Hartpury University, in 2022. She now hopes to utilise this knowledge by helping prepare dancers for the demands of 21st century ballet.
